It is normally possible to use our website without entering any personal data. If personal data (e.g. name, address or email addresses) is collected on our website, this is always done on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express permission.

The following explains what information we collect where necessary, how we handle it and to whom we make it available if appropriate.

Please be aware that data transferred over the internet (such as in email communication) can be vulnerable to security gaps and cannot be fully protected against access by third parties.

Withdrawing your consent to data processing

Many data processing activities are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw any consent you have given us at any time by sending us an email to this effect. This will not affect the legality of the data processing prior to your withdrawal.

You have the right to access any data which we process automatically on the basis of your consent or to fulfil a contract, or to have it transferred to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another responsible party, this will only occur insofar as it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to safeguard the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries which you send to us as the website operator, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection when the address bar of your browser switches from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock symbol that precedes it.

When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.

Right of access, blocking, erasure

Within the framework of existing legislation, you have at any time the right to free information on any personal data stored about you, its source and recipients and the purpose of its processing and, if applicable, the right to rectification, blocking or erasure of this data. Data Collection on our Website

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files created by your browser that are stored on your device. They do not harm your device, nor do they contain viruses. Cookies help to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called session cookies, which are automatically deleted when you leave the website. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit.

You can set your browser to inform you when cookies are being used and only allow them in individual cases, prohibit their acceptance in specific cases or in general, or activate automatic deletion of the cookies when you close your browser. Deactivating cookies may restrict the functionality of this website.

Cookies that are required for the purposes of electronic communication or to provide certain functions requested by you (e.g. shopping basket function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6, section 1 (f) GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation). The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for optimised provision of their services free of technical errors. Insofar as other cookies are stored (e.g. cookies for analysing your browsing behaviour), these are addressed separately in this privacy policy.

Server log files

The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. The following information is collected:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This information is not combined with other data sources.
The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6, section 1 (f) GDPR, which permits the processing of data to fulfil a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Analytics Tools and Advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics, provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses so-called cookies. These are text files that are stored on your device and enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is normally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The storage of Google Analytics cookies is based on Art. 6, section 1 (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both their website and their advertising.

IP anonymisation

We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. This means that Google truncates your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other countries party the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to its transfer to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the complete IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website in order to compile reports on the website activity and to provide other services associated with use of the website and the Internet to the website operator. The IP address transmitted from your browser by Google Analytics will not be combined with any other Google data.

Browser plugin

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking the following link. This sets an opt-out cookie, which prevents your data from being collected on future visits to this website: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Objecting to data collection

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking the following link. This sets an opt-out cookie, which prevents your data from being collected on future visits to this website: Deactivate Google Analytics.

Further information on how Google Analytics handles user data can be found at: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en

Commissioned data processing

We have concluded an agreement with Google on commissioned data processing and we fully implement the strict guidelines of the German data protection authorities in our use of Google Analytics.

Links to third-Party Websites

If you click a link to an external website, you are leaving our website. We are therefore not responsible for the content, services or products that are offered on the linked website, nor for the data privacy or technical security on said website.

Online-Ticketing

Our partner for online ticketing is ztix GmbH. The links to ticket purchasing therefore also refer to the ztix GmbH website  www.ztix.de

Enquiry and Contact Forms

On our website there are various opportunities for you to get in contact with us. Depending on the reason for the contact, various data will be requested in the contact form. Personal details such as title, name and email address are usually required fields for the purpose of contacting you and addressing you personally.
If you send us an enquiry via the contact form, we will store your details from the form, including the contact details you specify there, for the purpose of processing your request and in case of any follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The data entered in the contact form is thus processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6, section 1 (a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time by sending us an email to this effect. This will not affect the legality of the data processing prior to your withdrawal.

The data you provide in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to its storage, or the data is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was stored (e.g. once we have finished processing your enquiry). This does not affect mandatory legal requirements – in particular retention periods.

Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on our website, we need an email address from you as well as information that enables us to check that you are the owner of the email address provided, and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected unless on a voluntary basis. We use this data solely for the purpose of sending out the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The data entered in the newsletter registration form is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6, section 1 (a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent to the storage of your data, your email address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "Unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. This will not affect the legality of the data processing already carried out.

The data you have sent us for the purposes of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. It will then be deleted. This does not affect data that we have stored for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for our members’ area).

Use of Facebook Social PlugIn

Our website uses social plugins (“plugins”) of the social network facebook.com (“Facebook”), which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA.

If you open a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. Facebook transfers the contents of the plugin straight to your browser, which integrates them into the website.

The integration of the plugins indicates to Facebook that you have opened the corresponding page of our website. If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can then match the visit to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, e.g. by clicking the “Like” button or leaving a comment, your browser sends the corresponding information straight to Facebook, where it is stored. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your rights in this regard and possible settings to protect your privacy are outlined in Facebook’s Data Policy.

Use of Xing Social Plugins

Our website uses social plugins (“plugins”) of the social network xing.com (“Xing”), which is operated by XING AG, Gänsemarkt 43, 20354 Hamburg, Germany.

If you open a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Xing servers. Xing transfers the contents of the plugin straight to your browser, which integrates them into the website.

The integration of the plugins indicates to Xing that you have opened the corresponding page of our website. If you are logged into Xing, Xing can then match the visit to your Xing account. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Xing as well as your rights in this regard and possible settings to protect your privacy are outlined in Xing’s Privacy Policy.

Use of Twitter Social PlugIn

This website uses a plugin of the social network Twitter, which is operated by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom Street, Suite 600 San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Twitter”). The plugin is activated by clicking the “Tweet” button.

If this button is active, i.e. the original Twitter button is visible instead of the placeholder graphic, your browser will establish a direct connection to the Twitter servers. Twitter transfers the contents of the plugin straight to your browser, which integrates them into the website. The integration of the plugin indicates to Twitter that you have opened the corresponding page of our website. If you are logged into Twitter at the time, Twitter can match the visit to your Twitter account. If you interact with the plugin by clicking the “Tweet” button, your browser sends the corresponding information straight to Twitter, where it is stored. If you are not registered with Twitter or you have logged out of Twitter before you visit our website, Twitter may still be able to find out your IP address and store it. Further details of how Twitter collects and uses your data, your rights in this regard and possible settings to protect your privacy can be found in Twitter’s Privacy Policy.

If you do not want Twitter to collect data about you via our website and link it to your data stored by Twitter, simply do not activate the corresponding button.

Use of Google Maps

This website uses the map service Google Maps via API. This service is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

To use the Google Maps functions it is necessary to store your IP address. This information will normally be transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this website has no influence on this data transmission.

We use Google Maps to make our website more attractive and facilitate the location of places we have specified on the website. This constitutes a justified interest according to Art. 6, section 1 (f) GDPR.

Our website uses plugins of the YouTube website, which is run by Google. The operator of the YouTube website is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.
If you visit one of our pages with a YouTube plugin, a connection is established to the YouTube servers, telling them which of our pages you are visiting.

If you are logged into your YouTube account, you are allowing YouTube to match your browsing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
We use YouTube to make our website more attractive. This constitutes a justified interest according to Art. 6, section 1 (f) GDPR.

Further information on how your data is used can be found in the YouTube Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=de.

Use of Google Web Fonts

For uniform representation of fonts, this website uses web fonts provided by Google. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose your browser must connect to the Google servers. This indicates to Google that our web page was accessed via your IP address. We use Google web fonts to help make our website consistent and attractive. This constitutes a justified interest according to Art. 6, section 1 (f) GDPR.

If your browser does not support web fonts, your device will use a standard font.
